Parish Priest

Fr Smith  entered the junior seminary at Upholland in 1960, where he continued his studies until his ordination in Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral in 1973.
His first appointment was to All Saints in Anfield.  After five years he was posted to Holy Angels parish in Kirkby where he stayed for three years before being assigned to Christ the King Parish in Childwall.

After five years working as curate and chaplain to Broadgreen Hospital , he was asked to become parish priest of St Gregory’s in Lydiate, where he succeeded Fr Godfrey. (November 1987)
At the beginning of 2005 he was also asked to accept the duties of parish  priest of Our Lady’s in Lydiate as well.

The Social Centre is adjacent to the church.

1st mass of Sunday 6.30pm (Sat evening) and Sunday 8.00am and 11.00am.

Holydays:

7.30pm (previous evening). 9.00am

Weekdays:

Monday – Friday 9.00am,  Saturday 10.00am

Saturday 10.30 – 11.00am
